Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines
These Journal of Islam, Media, and Society (JIMS) Author Guidelines provide essential instructions for preparing and submitting manuscripts. Authors are encouraged to carefully review this guideline before submission. By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to comply with the journal’s ethical standards and publication policies.
All published works are licensed under the CC-BY-NC-SA license, allowing others to use, distribute, and adapt the work with proper attribution and for non-commercial purposes.
Before Submission
- Ensure your manuscript aligns with the journal’s Focus and Scope.
- Use the official Microsoft Word template for manuscript preparation.
- Follow publication ethics, authorship, copyright, and referencing standards.
- Confirm that all authors have approved the manuscript.
- Authors may include a short academic biography.
Manuscript Submission Overview
Manuscripts should be between 5,000–7,000 words and present original, high-quality research. Submissions must not be previously published or under review elsewhere. All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process to assess their scholarly contribution and relevance.
Submission Process

Accepted File Format
- Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.
- Remove all identifying metadata for blind review.
- Figures and tables should be embedded within the manuscript.
- Additional files may be submitted in standard, non-proprietary formats.

- Author Information
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
